Americas Test Kitchen – More than just a kitchen
Americas Test Kitchen
What kitchen has a walk in coolroom, 8 refrigerators, 7 under counter refrigerators, 14 ovens and 10 cooktops? Americas Test Kitchen of course!

America's test kitchen is located in a 150 year old factory that used to manufacture mess kits in Brookline, Massachusets. Originally it was set up for cooking, writing, editing and publishing for Cook's Illustrated magazine. However, since the introduction of Americas Test Kitchen TV show in 2001 (being the most-watched cooking show on public television with more than 2.9 million viewers watching each episode) it now houses over 26 professional cooks whose main aim is to to develop the absolute best, foolproof recipes for all of your favorite foods.
Each show has at least 2 or 3 recipes linked by a common theme (e.g How to make Chinese Take-out dinners) and is hosted by Christopher Kimball. What you may not know is that each recipe is kitchen tested 30-40 times in order to determine the best combination of ingredients, temperature, technique, cooking time and equipment that yields the best, most foolproof recipe.
