Contemporary Japanese & Asian Furniture - Greentea Design
Contemporary Japanese & Asian Kitchen Furniture & Cabinets

Greentea Design is a Canadian retailer of Asian furniture dealing in a variety of antique and contemporary pieces. Their line of free standing Japanese kitchen cabinets has been steadily expanding with their growing popularity. Initially starting as interpretations of classic Japanese Tansu, the Mizuya pantry cabinets were adapted to kitchen cabinets and fitted with counters by inspired customers willing to do some extra customization.

This spawned their first line of kitchen cabinets in 2004. These pieces are eye-catching solid wood designs, with classic Asian flair and contemporary practicality. Each cabinet is hand made using reclaimed wood from aging Korean farms, barns and store houses. The use of reclaimed wood is a great way to recycle materials that would otherwise go to waste. This age also means the wood is also well seasoned, making it more resistant to changes in temperature and humidity as well as giving it a beautiful patina.
From the humble beginnings of a few custom items, Greentea’s line of kitchen cabinets has expanded to include a large range of lower cabinets, upper cabinets, pantries and kitchen islands. Each can be customized to match the specifications of the customer, with options ranging from different stains and hardware, all the way to entirely custom pieces unlike any standard item on the Greentea line.
