Copper Kitchen Sinks
Copper sinks come into their own when they are fitted to appropriately styled cabinetry. They add an element of charm and character, especially to farmhouse style kitchens where an apron front sink is used.

Copper dates back more than 10,000 years and is man's oldest metal. Copper is used in various guises in your kitchen such as the water plumbing and pots and pans used for cooking. Now copper is becoming a popular material for kitchen sinks.
Copper sinks can be special for the simple reason that instead of a big factory stamping out large numbers of plain-jane looking sinks, artisans and craftsmen can hand craft unique sinks of beauty (such as the apron front or farmhouse sink shown above).
Care must be exercised when purchasing copper sinks because in all reality you get what you pay for. One must pay attention to the gauge or thickness of the copper, the construction techniques used such as whether the seams are soldered or copper welded (soldered joins do not patina the same as copper welded joins) and the company you are purchasing from.
Copper sinks are rugged yet elegant and they develop a fine patina with age. The patina formation can be arrested somewhat by the application of a wax polish if you so desire but I suggest that the patina is what makes a copper kitchen sink 'evolve'.

Hi, my name is Kevin Sorby and I am the person behind renomart.com.au

I like the copper sinks with a hammered finish. To me they look better than the smooth finish copper sinks.
Any idea if copper sinks are available in Australia? I haven’t seen any advertised here.
