Karran sink - Undermount sink for laminate countertops

Ever wanted to fit an undermount sink to a laminate countertop? Can't be done I hear you say? Not any more!

Around 1999 Karran developed a sink for undermounting underneath solid surface and granite countertops. It instantly became a firm favorite of countertop fabricators across the country because of its performance characteristics. By early 2000 they had developed a method to seamlessly install their undermount sink underneath a laminate countertop. Since then they have installed in excess of 50,000 undermount sinks in both custom and postform laminate countertops.

Karran sinks are not stainless steel but a 100% acrylic resin (similiar to Corian) chemically modified to enhance its density making it 100% non porous. Because it is a resin it is easily shaped by power tools and this is where it shines when it comes to fitting an undermount sink to a laminate top. You get no rims to catch dirt and water and it is certainly more hygienic than a self rimming sink.
