The peninsula kitchen
The peninsula kitchen
This kitchen shape really lends itself to open plan kitchens.
A peninsula is attached to one wall of a kitchen. It adds extra cabinetry without adding a wall. It is a good solution when you have plenty of floor space but have a shortage of walls.

Peninsula kitchens can act as a room divider as well as diverting traffic away from the work triangle.
Advantages
- adds additional counter space and cabinetry
- works well for open plan kitchens
Disadvantages
- none that I can see
