The peninsula kitchen

This kitchen shape really lends itself to open plan kitchens.

A peninsula is attached to one wall of a kitchen. It adds extra cabinetry without adding a wall. It is a good solution when you have plenty of floor space but have a shortage of walls.

Peninsula kitchens can act as a room divider as well as diverting traffic away from the work triangle.

Advantages

  • adds additional counter space and cabinetry
  • works well for open plan kitchens

Disadvantages

  • none that I can see
